  • Comments: Poor spectator event, with a lack of facilities, seating, activities and cover.

  • Comments: USM rock. They do great events - you know things will be as planned and if they are changed it is because the safety and comfort of the competitors warrant the change

  • Comments: What a dream come true, I never thought I could say I'm part of the ironman family (even it is a half), but here I am planning on how to break 5hrs next year, this is why we love the sport, there is always another challenge!!!

  • Comments: Illness leading up to race did not help, particularly need for puffer for bronchitis. Legs crap leading out of T2 after too much bike effort. SUNSCREEN!!!!!

  • Comments: Logistically USM dropped the ball this year. I think running the Quarterman on the same day stretched their resources. I took one of the last water bottles on the bike course and heard numerous competitors note that they ran out of cups, water and coke on many of the aid stations part way through the race. Still the course is a good one, the volunteers were fabulous and the crowd ever supportive. I will race this again.

  • Comments: I'd do this again in a second. The course was great, drafting was not tolerated, the volunteers were enthusiastic. The presentations were pretty good and there were lots of spot prizes given away. USM weren't overly organised, particularly on the Saturday with many race packets not ready (who opens registration just as the biggest game of the year is about to kick off??? There were some very unhappy Victorians, New South Welshmen & Western Australians!!!).
