  • Comments: Pre-race was fine, post-race was terrible. The post-race lines were insane for simple things like water.

  • Comments: I like the atmosphere of this race and the expo was great as was the aid stations, but the food and drinks for athletes after were terrible and really lacking.

  • Comments: the food sucked. The bagels were plain and partially frozen. There was no warm food at all.

  • Comments: White Rock is a huge race! I really enjoyed it this year since we were able to walk from the hotel to the start line and didn't have to park or deal with traffic. Tons of crowds and live music makes this a really fun race, if you don't mind bobbing and weaving around the other 20,000 people on the course.

  • Comments: Overall this is a good race. If you want a HUGE race with lots of runners and spectators, this is it! It's also a relatively easy course (no too many hills!). If you want food and water after the race- this is NOT your race. ;) All they had were cold, dry white bread bagels, bananas, oranges and some kind of mini food bar. Water was hard to find and when I finally got to it (after waiting in a LONG line) it was a sad little Dixie cup filled only 1/2 way. Same for the Gatorade. I can't imagine running a marathon and that being the beverage offering. The course overall was good. I haven't run it previous years though. But I have no complaints about the course I ran this year. After race activities were fine. A band, some beer, and the really long lines for food and sprinkle of water. While I know keeping crowd control for that many runners and spectators must be very hard, they made it really inconvenient for the spectators to watch and find their runners. It took Tim and

  • Comments: For such a large race, it is extremely well run and staffed. The volunteers were plentiful and helpful. I think the only complaint I have is placing the finisher medal and T-shirt stations right at the finish line. Too much congestion. And I cannot forget to give a big thinks to all of the Dallas Police volunteers for keeping the course safe for the runners. Finally, the number of spectators and their support was off the hook! And I only ran the half. I suspect the crowds were just as loud on the marathon course. I recommend this race to anybody, from experience runners to the first time half marathoner. Thank you, White Rock Marathon staff, for another great race.
