  • Comments: Not bad for a first time venue! Didn't like the delay of the start because of the cold and then having to wait and wait some more for the awards but other than that it was a great race.

  • Comments: I was very pleased with the RunBiTri. I was my first tri, so I have nothing to compare it to. No surprise that I need to improve my biking and running!

  • Comments: Woo hoo! My last race of the season and I managed to not only place, but win my age group! So much for Haley and Aaron heckling me about not having shaved my legs. :-) The reverse tri introduces a nice, different challenge. The organizers did a great job, especially for a first time event. I'll be trying to do some of the RBT races next year. It was cold this time, but I can't blame the organizers for the weather. Pros: - Great nautatorium facility (50m lanes, locker rooms, warm, etc.) - Lots of police and volunteers - Swag included a technical running hat. (though no t-shirt) - Lots of door prizes, including a Scott Plasma tri-bike! - kids duathlon - bounce house to entertain kids - live band (but not so loud as to be bothersome) Cons: - Race morning registrations resulted in delayed start - Raffles and awards didn't finish until very late (waited for everyone to finish swim, then had kid duathlon, then all door prizes, then awards, the bike awarded) - King/queen

  • Comments: The race report won't do this race justice since the events were backwards. It was alot of fun, and I'm sure because it is a fledgling race, the organizational issues will work themselves out. I'd do it again next year, for sure.

  • Comments: As far as the race goes it was a nice challenging course. The 2 major complaints I had was one, race day packet pick up caused the race to be delayed 20+ minutes. The second issue was that after the race you had to wait for all the competitors to finish the entire race before you were allowed into transtion area. This was a problem for me and some of the people I was with because we only brought one pair of shoes, which we were not wearing when we finished the swim. The good news is: the RD has asked for some constuctive critisism and seems to care very much about putting on a great race, so I will be back for atleast one of the RunBiTri series events next year!
