  • Comments: Not a great race for me in terms of how I felt but I did PR by about 3 seconds so I can't complain to much.

  • Comments: nice flat course, some shade, aid stations about every mile and some spectators at the aid stations and intersecting roads/trails. Amazing what a couple months of base training and no hills can do for you. Happy with my performance and very shocked at my time. I didn't train specifically for this. I was supposed to run it with a friend who wanted to try and go under 2:00 but she couldn't find the time to train with going to school and work.

  • Comments: The race course was exceptional because of the sand/dirt shoulders on the parkway and because of its beauty (scenery, winding and rolling terrain). My only hesitation in recommending this race is that the parkway is not really meant for 1000 runners to be on it at the same time. In the future when/if this race grows, it might take a few miles to get to race pace because of all the people (like the local Thanksgiving day run). Parking is also a problem.
