  • Comments: It's always fun to race in TRI The Park Series .... it's becoming my summer routine. There were plenty of blazing fast athletes in this event this year. Amazing to watch the speedsters zip ahead of me .... it certainly gave me more incentive to train harder. I gave my best today but still managed to rank in the middle of the overall group. Great race. I was lucky enough to get bump up a few places in my age group after the overall classification. I was not expecting any hardware at all. First and second overall men is from my AG. The first place AG winner is actually fourth overall.... I am in good company ... AG 35-39 representing!!! By the by, I did enjoy racing in front of the pack -- no crowding issues especially during the bike ride. So peaceful. So nice. The first triathlete pass me in mile 6 of the bike course. Later a few speedsters in mile 10. I know this is a rarity -- I will cherish the moment ..... Keep up the good work Blue Sky Sports ..... see you in Indian Sprin

  • Comments: I redeemed my race time this year from last year's hellish mistake/injury. I was happy overall with my performance. However, I was dissappointed with the total duathletes attending this race. My first race podium -- which is a competition milestone for me -- 2nd AG. Next year, my goal is to complete this race in 2:05. I have my work cut out for me.......

  • Comments: I was very surprised to find out that I was moved into the 45-49 age group even though I will not be 45 until November. By the looks of the other athletes I'm not sure this gave mne any advantage what so ever ha...ha... I'm hooked. As soon as I improve on my swim, look for me in the Tri series next year.

  • Comments: I had high hopes that I will complete this race with a PR. I was on track for the first 2 leg of the race but my bad turn of event prevented me to realize my goals. I am very hard on myself and could not forgive myself for not taking good care of my last run. I guess it was meant to be -- a lesson learned. After thought -- I am proud of my 5k and my bike time. I had a blast. I wish I could run my pace on the 10k. In terms of endurance, I had plenty. Just lady luck was not on my side. I guess my bad feelings about flat tired came through -- LOL -- damn knee. I hope i did not damage it. I will have to see if it heal up in 2 days. It still hurts... and my ego is bruised. 2 more race to put in my PR. Gotta long this!! By the by, thank you for those who cheered me on .... I surely needed it...Cheers! Note: Overall rank including triathlon is 149/280. Small turnout :(
