  • Comments: It was my first half marathon, but I have to say that the strawberry shortcakes were the best. The only downside to the race (aside from my fitness level) was getting to the event. There is only one bridge onto the island, and there was a line of cars several miles deep. We didn't get to the start line until about 10 minutes after the event started. Some people didn't get to the start until an hour after it started.

  • Comments: For next year they really need to have the aid station people better organized. Stopping to stand in line to try to pour your own drink with shaky hands and cups that stick together really SUCKS!! Overall though, it was very enjoyable and we will probably do it again next year.
