  • Comments: Another great race by Setup Events. Nice pond for the swim. Challenging yet safe and fun bike course. Good run course with lots of shade.

  • Comments: My traing partner usually runs faster than I do but today he stayed with me to make sure I got in under 3 hours. I still have a long way to go but it's getting better. Last year I did on OLY and it took me 20 minutes longer. So I'm happy right now but I still have a long way to go.

  • Comments: My only complaint is that the bike racks were too low to the ground. I could only rack my bike by my aero bars (which I don't like to do). I'm only 5'11. Overall,m as usual, set-up did a good job.

  • Comments: Like my friend Dan has said in the past, "I would like to make up a better overall finishing time, but what difference would that make?" It is what it is. I'm doing a sprint race at Lake Murray next weekend. Hopefully I will be able to site better, and remember to take more fluids on the bike.

  • Comments: If you are going to go into someone else's back yard, and know you are going to race at the elite/open/pro level, then damn well sign up accordingly! Age groupers try hard and deserve reward for what they accomplish!! This means YOU, Rafael Fiallo! There were several others that weren't racing at the AG level, also. The way I see it, Swimshady placed 1st in the AG, which put me in at 2nd with a time penalty imposed on another racer. Oh well, next time...

  • Comments: Setup does a good job putting on races. The weather was brutal, but they don't control that. I will do this race again next year, God willing, and hopefully improve.

  • Comments: Big lightning storm before the start so we were delayed and the bike was shortened due to flooding but they made good decisions quickly and I would go to the race again for sure.
