  • Comments: I think to distances were off. We know the swim was short, but I think the bike was about a mile short as well. I have never averaged over 21 mph and I think 24 is not accurate.

  • Comments: This really was a wonderful experience and one I was so happy to be able to share with my wife and family. Seeing my people as many times as I did was a great lift and enjoying the post race with them was awesome. Even if a certain 5 year old wouldn’t go swimming with Uncle Chris. As my first tri, the experience couldn’t have been any better. I learned a lot, had great fun, and was proud of my effort and place. I will absolutely be back for more.

  • Comments: I love this race. Of my races so far this is probably the most organized and well-run. There are so many volunteers helping out everywhere...it's amazing! It's a great course overall and it's nice to lay around in the park and on the beach afterwards. My family did a much better job of finding me along the race course so it was nice and they helped motivate me to keep going along the way. I saw them after the swim on my way to transition, in transition, as I started biking, coming back from biking, transition again, and at the finish. I did ask my wife why she didn't make it to the bike turn around 6 miles out. She mentioned she was pregnant ;) So once I get more pictures downloaded I will share them all with you.

  • Comments: Overall this was an awesome race for me, I took first place in my AG WTF?!?!? I also learned that apparently I am holding second place overall in the wheelie fun series which I had know idea about. It was really exciting to do this well, I never thought I would EVER place in my AG let alone win my AG and be a contender for placing in the series. Triathlon has been an awesome addition to my life and one now, that I can't imagine not having. PS. HFP did an awesome job with post-race food and what not for this race, there was lots of selection of fresh fruit, PB&J, Pizza, Pop, water and cookies. Nice Job HFP!

  • Comments: Overall it was very well organized. It seemed as though there was a volunteer for every 3-5 racers. Everyone was very friendly and the organizers were both helpful and informative. I will definitely be back to do this race again next year.

  • Comments: Very nice race. Lots of volunteers and well wishers along the entire race course. Also good place for kids to hang out during the race.
