  • Comments: Striders events are minimalistic. This does help to keep the cost down ($10). Two more water stations might help. Next year I'll bring the Fuel Belt.

  • Comments: Good race & great route along the lake. Definitely a "made for" runners kind of race. Only negative is that there could have been a few more water stations and more than one Gatorade station....but for $13, I can't really complain.

  • Comments: Definatley a bare bones runners race. Lots of fun, beautiful course. It helped that the weather was FANTASTIC!

  • Comments: I'll would run this event again. Great to see so many people suck it up and race considering the crappy weather and a special thanks to the volunteers that cheered us on in the miserable cold and windy conditions. It was great to see and chat with so many donks/BTers: Firstnet911, DJDavey, Sgoehner, Force, PJGrande, Tri-N-Spin, TriDDS, Travisvb24 and Sandivb76.

  • Comments: This is a low-key affair. I was impressed with the size of the field and more so in the number of "day-of" registrations. The 'day-of' folks saw the weather outside their windows this morning and STILL chose to come down and race this bad-boy. The same-day registration was a modest $10, so to expect much in the way of post-race goodies would have been unrealistic. Beer, pretzels, soda, water and a warm place to hang were plenty enough, IMO. I'll run this event again. A special shout-out to the volunteers and spectators (who I think were more mentally unstable than the athletes for braving the conditions to WATCH a bunch of mentally unstable people). And finally, a big EEEEEAWWWW to the other BT'ers/Donkies with whom I shared the experience and who came out to support the others: DJDavey, Sgoehner, Firstnet911, Amyjotris, PJGrande, Tri-N-Spin, TriDDS, Travisvb24, Sandivb76. Look forward to seeing most of you TOMORROW as we bless the burro and kick off a safe outdoor tri season.

  • Comments: thought that the water stations could be better. they had rather large cups for people and then filled them quit high. i personally like the smaller cups. great to see all the donkeys out there running, despite the crapola conditions! eawesome to see those who came out for support as well (TriDDS, Sandi, Travis). overall an excellent way to kick off donkeyfest weekend!! and all the donkeys performed very very eeeeaaaaawesome!!!! GREAT JOB GUYS AND GALS!!!
