  • Comments: Nice race course, well managed, plenty of police at intersections on the bike leg. Too bad about the chip timing issues....but overall a great race. Lots of fast peeps out there!

  • Comments: I think this is a great race for the new triathlete. The open water is shallow. There aren't massive crowds of competitors. The bike course is rolling. The run is pretty flat and mostly shaded. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus there is another sprint on this same course (bike the opposite direction) just a month later. It's a great chance to see the improvement as you train.

  • Comments: Overall I really enjoyed this event. Seriously liked the run on the trail and the bike course. Would have liked to train more given the relocation from GA to OH and my new job. Just did not put the time in. Compared to other races, the post-race events (food) could have been better....but nicest t-shirt from any of my previous races. Great day for a race.

  • Comments: I used this race as the start of my taper for a half ironman next weekend so never planned on killing the bike or run, went well and was smooth and controled the whole time, never felt like i had to dig deep to hold on. good day!

  • Comments: I really liked this race. There are a few small improvements they could make: They could have had the water stop closer to T2. The swim needed a buoy to keep the return traffic out of knee deep water. The run to T1 was really long. The bikes went out and in the same door. I'll would probably do this again.

  • Comments: It took me almost a month to write this race report. I have seen threads and comments on BT about post-race blues, and I caught it bad. It took me almost two weeks to want to even train again. I have been overeating, drinking more beer than usual, (gained 5 pounds) and avoiding even browsing BT. It's not like I want to throw in the towel, and I am finally coming out of it and looking for my next race. This took my by surprise, because I have not experienced this in my first 4 races. I think I am just disappointed in myself for not being able to improve my training levels. I have no aspirations of being on the podium, but ever since I have started triathlons, my training and performance have been constant. I don't seem to be able to commit any more time or money -- and I just felt really let down after this race. But, enough wallowing.. time to HTFU.

  • Comments: I am just not a big fan of Ultra-Fit USA run races. This is the second race of theirs that I have done and both have been the same. Just not a lot to talk about. You race, you finish and that's about it. There just doesn't seem to be the same atmosphere as at some of the other races that I have done.
