  • Comments: Had a ton of fun, especially on the bike ride. It was good to rid some of my jitters speaking with other participants and officials (who were all great by the way). I was surprised by how well I did since I decided only one month prior to buy a bike and do this race. I'd also like to thank all the other athletes who have taken the time to fill out these race reports as they helped me immensely in preparing for my first ever triathlon.

  • Comments: I really enjoyed myself! It was worth the drive from Vancouver to do this event. Whistler has a great atmosphere and putting this in the middle for first timers was great. I'm hooked now. The race started late, but this follows a kids-of-steel event and you can't make kids follow a schedule. It just gave us more time to get to know the other competitors and to socialize. The maps mailed out earlier in the week were nearly illegible as they had been rescaled a bit too much, but the courses were very, very clearly marked and straight forward. Maps weren't needed. I would do this race again if I could. Official times are not posted yet, so I will edit them when they come out. These are from my GPS and watch.
