  • Comments: Swag bag sucked this year with dog cookies, trial size cliff bar, and no water bottle. I like this race to kick the dust off for Ellington. I will think hard on my execution and effort level and try to get more out of my next race. Happy with a podium spot, as I said, but I need to race faster. I hate giving up time on the 34 year old me. I want to kick his ass.

  • Comments: Pavilion caved in from last winters snow so there was a small tent set up in ball field. The announcements and organization were pretty sloppy. Race started a few minutes late. I stuck around for the awards, which started when almost everyone had left. Really the only people still there were those waiting for awards and their families. This was kind of sad and disrespectful to the winners. On the bike course there were cones missing on a few turns and they were sorely lacking in volunteers. A good example is the turn onto Cedar Swamp. There was a small white arrow painted on the road. I imagine more than one person missed that and veered off course.

  • Comments: Fun, family friendly venue. Nice playground for the kids while you are doing your thing. Volunteers were very friendly. I was impressed with the amount of volunteers on the bike portion directing racers and actually holding back traffic for us at a few stop signs. Thanks! This was my first race, so I don't have a lot to base my opinion on, but I plan to be back next year.

  • Comments: First tri - had fun and felt good. Finished better than I thought I would. Well organized.

  • Comments: Very well organized, lots of race report, and free sandwiches for everyone after. Age groupers received certificates and gift cards.
