  • Comments: This was an excellent first race. I'm looking forward to training this winter and improving my time before next spring's race. My goal going into the race was 1:30. I beat that by almost 8 minutes. With some proper training I think I could be decent at this sport. Anyone have any recommendations for training groups in the Dallas area? I'm hooked! What a rush!

  • Comments: Really the only thing that irked me about this race was the packet pick-up situation. That's a long way to drive the day before the race if you don't live near Flower Mound. I almost didn't make it between 1-6 pm and I wouldn't have been able to race. I hope no one didn't get to race because of that.

  • Comments: oh well better luck next time. Im going to train and hopefully my time will come down significantly. I havent really trained for the 2 tri's i have done. Just a swim here a ride there... and the occasional run, back permitting. I think if i buckle down and train and get some muscle on my legs i can do ok. Ill just keep swimming like normal because that doesn;t seem to need much work (for pool swims anyway)...see ya'll next time... -b

  • Comments: Had a lot of fun with family and friends. Met Aaron (heard someone say his name & had seen him with flag swim cap - figured it out). Met a couple of other people & promised to say hello at next years events.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: A nice local race. Small # of racers, pools swim, fairly easy bike course, and shaded run make this an excellent race for beginners. Bagels, bananas, oranges, and Gatorade available afterwards, plus option to purchase Smoothies. Goodie bag had a nice long-sleeve cotton t-shirt and some hammer gel, but not much else. It was great meeting all the BTers in person and cheering for each other. This is my last tri for this year, but I hope I'll be seeing some of you at next Spring's races.

  • Comments: I can't judge this race because it's my first. But the race started like a half hour late and if I was hardcore and eating at specific times and warming up at specific times it would have caused me problems. But I had a great time, so I've got nothing bad to say.

  • Comments: A good race, one I would definitely recommend. Plenty of volunteers along the bike course, everyone was helpful and encouraging. A good time was had by all.
