  • Comments: Great low key marathon! The RD - Jay Wind - could not be nicer. The online registration was closed by the time I wanted to register, but I called him and he called me back and told me to just send him a check. No chip, but with around 300 runners it wasn't necessary. Volunteers very nice and helpful.

  • Comments: Great course if you want to try for Boston but don't need crowds to do it. Super flat, easy on the body. Be up front b/c the race is not chip timed.

  • Comments: The Belle Haven National Park Service shut the race down very unceremoniously which caused much confusion at the start and the end of the race. I guess the National Park Service is there to make sure people do not visit their parks. God Forbid We have people at a National Park enjoying the scenery our tax dollars pay for, not to mention we actually ask people to do their jobs.

  • Comments: It's a small race so don't expect the pomp and circumstance of a Boston Marathon but it's very nice non-competitive race to do, especially with a friend. The area is beautiful but with minimal fans and deep woods, the course gets very lonely and makes it tougher to push through the walls. Overall a very good small race.
