  • Comments: Overall a great race and nice course. I wish it had been warmer, but what can ya do? It's a very nice race. I especially love that if you do the half marathon, marathon or ultra marathon from 2009-2013, you will be able to form a star with the medals. Great way to win repeat business! :)

  • Comments: Super fast course with a small town feel. Other than the mess at the starting line and finishing stretch it was perfect.

  • Comments: The start was not very organized. There were so many people in the streets that alot of runners could not get to the start. I almost fell victim to this but got lucky. I would recommend for next year that you get to the start line early to avoid any problems.

  • Comments: Great venue, cool finisher medal tho you have to run 4 more to make the Texas star. No problem.

  • Comments: Very nice event. Course is well managed, crowds were supportive. The 5-year medal is a really cool idea. Even some live bands out on the course for entertainment. On-site registation on Friday was a mess. Well, registration was fine; payment took *forever*. Really, folks, credit cards should be fast and not 5 minutes per person. The expo was pretty decent, though. Fantastic quantity of food for the racers, some good - fruits, yogurt, pretzals, popcorn - although a little surprised at some of the junk food (packaged doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, ice cream). 4/8/09 -- Doc initially assessed as pinched nerve, but wasn't resolving. MRIs finally confirmed a stress fracture in the right sacrum. I guess I can be proud that I still managed ~9min/mile. (Trying to be glass-half-full here.)

  • Comments: A few of the aid stations were not prepared. They were trying to pour water as fast as people were taking it.

  • Comments: This race was more organized than White Rock, plus the parking was better. At White Rock I didn't receive the size shirt I ordered, but at Cowtown, I have always received the size I ordered. There were plenty of porta potties, plenty of water, and plenty of food and drinks after.
