  • Comments: This is a nice smaller event with good volunteer support and good post race food ( tasty grilled chicken sandwiches!) My husband has done this event the last 3 years so I have been a spectator til now and always appreciated how well it is organized. The course is enough of a challenge to keep it interesting but definitely within reach for the beginner or first-timer. The technical shirts are a nice touch and the kids race following the event is the only kids du around. I will be back next year- no more spectating for me!

  • Comments: I did the race in 1:24:52. I'm pleased with that. I was hoping to finish in under 90 minutes. I even passed some people on the bike, finished 60/70 in men’s, and 73/103 overall. I was last 12/12 in my age group, but I was pretty much anticipating that. All things considered I’m pleased with my times. Even after having three chicken sandwiches following the race, and eating a normal lunch; I felt like I was starving all day long after the race. I'm not too sore today, although my quads are aware they did some work yesterday.
