  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Well organized with a bunch of volunteers and not too high stress, really casual feel to the race, which is relaxing. Course marked well, just needed to pay attention better. The run course is a lot more fun than the standard running through cart paths/concrete, etc since it is trail running. Bike course, although not closed to traffic, roads were back roads mostly and almost no traffic. Swim, well who doesn't want to swim under a low bridge!

  • Comments: Good race, nice venue, very friendly people. My one complaint (aside from the smelly fish pond water) was that there were no assigned spots on the racks in transition. Made for some confusion first thing in the morning, but nothing too serious.

  • Comments: Overall, this was a good race, but the run was tough. I also heard that they messed up during the awards ceremony because they figured the times wrong.

  • Comments: I would have given this race a 5 for 'best', had they not botched the awards at the end. There was a miscommunication between the race director and timer regarding what swim waves athletes were in, so when they subtracted out time (from the staggered wave starts), they took off too much time from some competators and awarded them podium spots when they didn't actually place. It was kind of a bummer b/c my wife won the race (her first ever), and someone else got credit/recognition for winning at the awards ceremony. Mistakes happen, and Sarah (the race director) is awesome- she corrected the timing errors by Sunday night and communicated to everyone that raced. Overall, this race is very well organized and a very fun. Lots of volunteers and beautiful venue. I would recommend this one and I think it will continue to grow.

  • Comments: First Triathlon. The Swim was good, kind of cool to swim underneath the footbridge. The bike was full of hills but not many tough climbs. The run was almost all trail running on clay/rocks/etc. with some trenches along the trail. I did like running over the foot bridge to the finish line. Overall, great experience for my first tri.
