  • Comments: Overall great race, they took all feedback from last year and made it better. Events went off a few minutes late as they had to create a new half course because some road were under water. They filled all the potholes a few days before the race. Police support was awesome.

  • Comments: T1 and T2 at different locations. Run course gets very muddy if recent rain. Otherwise great race.

  • Comments: Cold and rainy which kept a lot of competitors from showing up and, I believe, kept many volunteers at home leaving Setup Events with a skeleton crew to staff both a sprint and a Half Ironman event simultaneously. As a result there were few volunteers available. Two transition zones by necessity for safety reasons (bike) and course reasons (run) but led to confusion during the dark early rainy hours when trying to set up. T2 was difficult to find. This is VERY UNUSUAL for Setup Events who normally are well organized and staffed at all their events so I am sure it was more circumstancial than poor planning. The swim, bike, and run courses were otherwise very flat and fast making for an enjoyable race despite the weather and logistical challenges.

  • Comments: This is a well-run event, but I will say that the run course lacks anything interesting at all. This doesn't matter much for the sprinters, but I can not imagine running a long run on this pathway. Safe, but really boring.

  • Comments: For a first time event they did well, needed to better manage the volunteers at the finish / transition but all in all things went well. WOW - 4th overall - I REALLY am amazed....

  • Comments: Overall the best I have done in a race!! Also incredibly well done by set-up events and all the volunteers especially considering its in the first year. Congratulations everyone who raced in the sprint and half and thanks to all the volunteers!

  • Comments: This was the first TryCharleston triathlon and I thought they did very well. Enjoyed the race and will plan to be back next year.
