  • Comments: This was a nice race to finish up my first summer of triathlon. I'm now looking forward to the off season and having the opportunity to work further on my conditioning. I definitely want to try and move up to the intermediate/ olympic level next summer. This is a great sport with a lot of great challenges to take on.

  • Comments: The Boulder Sunset triathlon was my very first tri and it was awesome! The event itself had to be postponed for 2 weeks due to a wildfire in the Boulder area, but it was very well organized even still. I really don't know what I would've done if the ultra-supportive volunteers hadn't helped me with my flat tire situation, and along the race course, their cheers and enthusiasm were just what the doctor ordered...especially when they were accompanied by ice cold water/Gatorade. I can't emphasize enough how awesome the volunteers were. My fellow athletes were also very supportive, and there was definitely a sense of comeraderie as we all encouraged each other along during the race. I had several fellow athletes check their personal tire supplies for any tubes that would fit my bike pre-race, which was really nice of them. Made me think triathletes must be a bunch of really nice people. The race course was just right, I felt, and offered enough of a challenge to make it feel like it
