  • Comments: The after race breakfast was fantastic. Huge selection of fruit. They had salads. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cubed potatoes, french toast, pastries. Coffee, tea, orange juice. Very nice finishers medal. No chip timing, but finish line was well staffed.

  • Comments: I need to really think about what is important when racing...and that at this point is finishing healthy. Pre-race goals are good however they are not cut in stone and if they must be modified on race day so be it. JUST LIKE IN TOURNAMENT GOLF...I SHOULD KNOW THIS!!!!!

  • Comments: I had learned alot from last year and was able to put it all together. Based on my 12 miler last week, I knew I would be slow, but I knew I could finish. I wasn't as hurting this year(good grammar)and feel good but tired today, and didn't take any meds. If I had to do another mile, I could have, albeit very slow, so unlike last week, I still had gas in the tank. You never get an easy winter run and that was the longest and toughest run in prob 8 months(as I walked most of IMC). Thanks to my good friends at BT, all of whom were in the early wave,(I was in the later one, all alone!). And my fellow Ironcoppers who ran as well. And what the hell, lets thank Crazy for getting me into all this, even if he did turtle on this event.

  • Comments: I found this to be an overall very well organized event. We had police stopping traffic for us, volunteers showing us the way and the positive comraderie by all the runners was very well appreciated. My wife is wearing the gift toque today. I was a little discombobulated by the mileage markers and the accuracy of the overall distance. I rated the post race acivities low because the meal looked great and I was really looking forward to it but the seating was inadequate and there was a twenty minute line up to eat so we passed on that. But these are only minor and the overall setting was fantastic and extremely posisitve. I learned a hell of a lot on just this one event. I am one of those guys who has to learn from experience, and because of that, I did some things my way instead of listening to the wiser beings. The wiser beings are usually correct! Overall, race wise I have to drink more and weigh less. I feel a great sense of accomplishment and am proud I trained so hard

  • Comments: It was a bloody cold day, but thankfully almost no wind. My goal was 2:30, so I am somewhat disappointed with my time. However, I am happy that I took off almost 10% from my time for my last 1/2 marathon. I should do better on the Police 1/2 on April 30.
