  • Comments: Felt realy good after the race and the good push up to the finish. Decided I was glutting for punishment and ran around the lake in Wakefield for good measure. Felt good enough that a PR might be in the legs. Got passed the first 100 yards and right into the winds of the rainstorm. No PR, but felt like I had done a good effort for the day and could enjoy the rest of the day. :)

  • Comments: This was just a fun race, the goal was to stay together and not get hurt. The roads were slick and I slid a few times, but nothing to take me down. We found C2FD and Isis54 as we were going to warm up our cars. Got a chance for a few more photos (like the ones we took durring warm up) and I had to get in line to leave the parking lot. The group was still doing the post race gasbag when I went by. By then Max and C2FD had gotten casses of extra pies ( I really think they shanghied them) :) I got an extra pie for the road. I do not think this race could have been anymore fun. A couple of bands on the route, a few boom boxes too. Lots of people cheering, and best of all my first ever group run. I have run a few cross country races back in the day, but never ran as a group anywhere for any reason before. Too much fun. Also got passed by a friend, did not see her husband (I suspect he was letting her win...again :)) I think this is a must race for off season BTers in the futrue.

  • Comments: From a thread in main forum: Feaster Five, Andover MA max - 2005-11-25 7:40 AM I did the "gender-bender 5 miler" since I started off as a male and finished as a female. Well you had to be there to see it. I'm sure Joe has pictures! We had a great time. Team BT (7 of us) got together for racing and a tailgate party while we waited for the parking lot to clear out! Great fun running in the snow with thousands of other racers. Amen sistah. The Turkey Team BT showed up at Feaster Five with max, ontherun, celeb_ithil, c2fd, isis54, tri_again, d.z., and myself (so that's 8, max forgot to count himself ~ or is that 9 since max and maxine showed up??). We inducted a new five mile runner - celeb_ithil. d.z. didn't show up as psycho as his avatar would infer he would be, then ditched us after the first mile. c2fd and isis54 are still wondering where the rock sign we were supposed to meet at is..... ontherun probably has frostbitten hands since he gave
