  • Comments: There's a reason this race sells out every year and has representation from 48? 49? states - if there's a better run event out there somewhere, I'd like to see it. It starts on time and had sky divers carrying the flag, the volunteers were fantastic, the crowds were great, it's well-marked with plenty of aid stations, and they had the pros come in at the end so you could watch them fly through. Pretty neat to be able to watch Tim Deboom, Amanda Lovato, etc. roll through while you're hanging out afterwards. No reason not to do this race again.

  • Comments: Overall, an awesome race. I set what I thought was an ambitious goal time and beat it. Top 10 in that field makes me very happy, and I'm proud of the way that I raced, handled pain, managed the course, and pushed. I left it all out there and I think the results speak for themselves.

  • Comments: 5430 Sports puts on a great event. From the sky divers, hot air balloons, and dove release before the swim to the great volunteers on the course, to the post-race food and activities, everything is first class.

  • Comments: My 1st Oly and my goal was -3hrs and I did so I'm really happy. And I left room to improve for next year, um, on purpose. I got my pics frmo the sprint and I looked so serious in them all so I wanted o make sure & have a good time here. Got home and went to take out my contacts and it turns out the one I thought was gone was gone so I think I did the entire race without it and didn't even realize. Race was well run and organized as expected. Really cool to see alot of the top names in the sport in person too as well as such a big group of BT'ers.

  • Comments: This was an awesome race. Everyone had awesome races as well. Sorry to hear about my friend Shannon and her crash on the bike course. I hope she feels better after the beers over here at the house. My original goal was to be under 2:23. I then wrote down that 2:21 was possible. I really can't believe I was 2:19:32. I didn't check my watch until an hour after the race. Very happy.

  • Comments: 5430 puts on a great event, and once I got to the Med tent, my treatment was fantastic. However, after the accidents they experienced last year at the Boulder Peak, I would have expected their accident response system to be better. An injured athlete should not have to ride on the back of a motorcycle to get to treatment.

  • Comments: Ah, Boulder. I LOVE Colorado. Fun times. STACKED field of mostly local Colorado athletes. Damn, those Colorado peeps are in shape! 5430 puts on a GREAT event. I had fun. I am happy I got to race despite the ankle. All things considered, this went from being an A race to just going out and doing some experimenting and having fun. I may not be happy with my time, but I will be okay with it. Highly recommended race! It's considered a toughie but it's a lot of fun!

  • Comments: today was so much fun. it was my first oly, my first experience being surrounded by some SERIOUSLY fast and beautiful athletes, and my first time gaining a lot of confidence in what my body can do. despite my big sudden taper, my 7 months of training didn't fail me afterall. i had a goal of finishing in under 3 hours and i did - and with 33 seconds TO SPARE!! ha ha! i'm gonna be pretty sore for a couple of days but it will be WELL worth it. looking forward to doing this race again next year.

  • Comments: This really has to be one of the greatest Triathlons in the country. From hot-air balloons and sky-divers, to an amazing course with 1600 competitors cruising through safely in waves, to the exciting conclusion featuring some of the top professionals in the sport... what's not to love? Barry's running an event here that really should set the standard by which these things are measured. It was nothing short of amazing.
