  • Comments: What a difference a year makes. 23+ minute improvement from last year (had an 8 minute T1 last year though, so maybe "only" 18 minutes). Only problem is that I promised myself I would complete the tri series (Long Course) if I broke 3 hours. Still debating this one as I don't think I'm ready and I never want to feel after a race the way that I felt after last year's Peak. Might have to put off the Long Course until next year. Cloud cover came at the perfect time during the run. Thrilled with race but still see loads of opportunity for improvement.

  • Overall course based on my ability:

  • Comments: Other than having very little swimming time before the race, I thought I was well trained and should have done better. I need to push harder during my training rides/runs.

  • Comments: This is a good event. The bike course is very challenging. The run can be brutally hot. World Triathlon Corp. will be running it next year. I hope they don't change too much.

  • Comments: This is the largest triathlon in Colorado and always a good event. I hadn't raced here for about 6 years and it's better than ever. The swim course being long was unfortunate and turned my result from being a PR into a PW.

  • Comments: Will definitely do this race again next year. They also have a long course (70.3 race) that I will be training for as well which happens later in August

  • Comments: Always a great race held by 5430, and fun to see people I know out on the course. I think I saw Ray, Ben, Erik, Dillard, Michelle (Dillard), Susan, and a handful of others that aren't on BT.

  • Comments: Hung out with lots of Bters and friends and had a few Avery beers. Stuck around for awards and won a fuel belt! Was dissapointed in the stop on 36 and the course was not swept. Other than that it is a great race with stiff competition. My wife Michele Pr'ed by 8 minutes!

  • Comments: Boulder Peak is a good race overall, but the run is dreary. The bike ride through farmland with mountain views is gorgeous as always in Boulder. I'll have to see if my body can handle regular training and hope to "race" next year.

  • Comments: Don't know how the race will look next year since M-Dot has taken over, I guess we'll all have to see about it. A good race, SO much better than the sprint. And (although I'll have to look this up) I beat my previous Olympic time by 40 minutes.

  • Comments: Awesome race! I hope WTC runs it just as well next year. The skydivers and pro race were great to see. A great value!
