  • Comments: As always everyone was so happy to be out on thanksgiving which made for a great race..even in the cold there were people cheering us on. I love this race and will continue to do it so I can eat lots of turkey and not feel guilty!

  • Comments: This was a fun race and I will definitely do it again if it isn't raining. No one needs post-race activities on Thanksgiving because we all have one already. The good part of my race is that it solidified my sinking feeling that a whole marathon is not going to happen for me this year. My knees need another year (or so) to build. I'm disappointed in this, but glad to have been able to come to a decision. Now I can concentrate on building my bike mileage on the prettier days and slowly slowly slowly increasing my run mileage.

  • Comments: Nice medal, ugly T-shirt! In fact, I think it's the ugliest race shirt I've ever seen. Overall this is a good race. I feel a Thanksgiving tradition in the making.

  • Comments: This is a good race. It was a fun way to start Thanksgiving. The weather was incredible which makes for a great day of running. The volunteers were awesome and I would definitely do this race again.

  • Comments: The only things that make this race stand out is that it covers a lot of the Peachtree and Olympic course in Atlanta, and it is on Thanksgiving. Most of us do it so we can pig out later on.

  • Comments: I enjoyed this years run significantly over last years. Yes, the weather was good, but I also went in with lower expectations of the race experience overall. This is a no frills, low key event and my expectations were met. T-shirt was good and the addition of the medal for the half was welcome. I don't see the need to stage this event with a full marathon, but that is a discussion for another day.

  • Comments: This race is just hard to have on Thanksgiving. There is virtually no crowd support and you are really only out there for yourself. Well, you and 8000 other half-marathoners. Having it in late November can warrant pretty nasty days in some years. Today, I was lucky to experience my virginal ATL halfer in almost perfect weather. Maybe that's why I don't mind it so much. I just don't know if I would want to crawl out of bed on a holiday if it were cold and rainy. I will definitely do it again - just so that I can have extra helpings at dinner without feeling guilty.

  • Comments: My training buddy, whom I might be a little faster than, ran it in 1:24. And he place like 14th in our age group. So that is some seriously good news. I have never run this distance really hard so I had no idea what my time would be. Looks like 1:20 might be in my sights.
