• Comments: I really like this race. There are some things that come with so many competitors - Tough transition spots, congestion on the bike, long line for bbq. But, I really like it anyway. I haven't been to another race with so much stuff given to you at check-in, and so many great triathletes with such a range of abilities. It's really good for the sport!

• Comments: I'm a firm believer in "you take what the day gives you" and you make no excuses. I was determined to finish the race and didn't feel sorry for myself. I was glad to have finished and pulled off a top 10 run split overall. So, the day wasn't a total loss and I'll be able to draw from today's performance/experience in future races.
