  • Comments: Scenic venue and course. Short but challenging. How many swim venues include getting up close and personal with the "mayflower"!!

  • Comments: I had a good time, it was my first Tri and it was in my hometown. I really just tried to enjoy myself and aside from the swim, I did. Did I mention the swim didn't go so well? :) Honestly, I did this because a year ago I set it as one of my 5 fitness goals. In September of 2010 I set out 5 fitness goals: 1. Lose 21 lbs. by the end of the year (goal met 11/10/2010) 2. Lose 42 lbs by Sept 1. 2011 (goal met 8/24/2011). 3. My job requires a PT test that I've always struggled with so I wanted to pass (goal met 8/4/2011) 4. Run a 5K (goal met 11/21/2010) 5. Complete a triathlon. (goal met 9/3/2011, so what if it was two days late :) Life circumstances got in the way of training, at least the swim portion. I did a lot of my running when Dee went to bed at night and the biking while she was in therapy. My plan was to survive the swim any way I could and see what I could do on the bike and run. This is what two months of bike and run training can get you :) A year ago I was not an

  • Comments: Event staff were friendly, helpful and Enthusiastic! Lots of volunteers. Bike course was well marked with staff at every turn.
