  • Comments: So, the slower times on the swim and bike I made up for on transitions of all things. The run is really where I made the most gain from Eagleman but I expected this as I was able to run nearly all of the Musselman course. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't sub-9 since I knew I was capable of this though the course was rolling. Considering the 6 hour drive, I'm not positive about coming back next year but it will be something to think about. An overall positive experience for the whole Musselman Triathlon Festival! The Triathlon Festival and the amenities for all the athletes made for a very worthwile event/weekend. If it hadn't been for the weather, I would've called the event big success. Highly recommend this one!

  • Comments: This has got to be one of the best races in the country. Jeff Henderson does a phenomenal job at making this race the best. There are as many volunteers as participants and the variety of food at the aid stations is incredible. You would think you were at an Ironman event only better!!

  • Comments: This race has gotten a lot of good reviews and I agree that they are very organized and everything went super smooth. They also give out a lot of nice swag that I didn't expect. The number of volunteers at the aid stations was really good and I thought it was funny running through them how all the kids were enthusiatic about yelling "water" and "sponges" even though I doubt many people actually wanted sponges when it was raining. What I didn't like about the race was there were not enough bouys in the water especially since it was so choppy. The bike portion through the Army base was not nice and the run course had too much concrete sidewalks that were tough on the legs.

  • Comments: Overall a great race, volunteers were AWESOME. Standing in the pouring rain, cheerfull, supportive and ready to help. Great location. After I finished I said to my wife "That was the first and last HIM I do." I waited awhile to write this as I wanted time to reflect. I now think I will do another because I know I can do better.

  • Comments: Great organization, great volunteers, and a very good venue in the town of Geneva. Their "go green" theme this year was a nice touch. This race was also a great value. The swim needs some interim buoys, and the run course would have been SO MUCH better if they could have kept us off the sidewalks.

  • Comments: This is an awesome race, in a great location. Obviously, they couldn't have changed the weather, but it just made it more exciting. Volunteers were great, course was beautiful and challenging and I had a blast!

  • Comments: I thought that the race was really well run and if any of the volunteers are reading this THANK YOU!!! You folks were awesome, even though you had to hang out in the rain while us slow pokes were still coming in. A special thanks to the kayakers who were extra patient and absolutely in responsive when I was having issues!

  • Comments: Awesome race there was probabaly a race volunteer for each participant. Musicians, townsmen, and children routing and cheering us on for the whole race it was a treat!

  • Comments: Jeff does a great job and I encourage people to sign up for this, even in the rain the aid stations and volunteers were awesome. Spectators were understandably few but more than I expected. The food and trinkets for racers are appreciated, the top notch organization, the number of potties, the directive to pee in my wetsuit are all appreciated!

  • Comments: Great race! Lots of volunteers. I would do it again. I am glad it was raining because it would have been a lot harder if it wasn't!
