  • Comments: I put in just the right amount of effort in this race. I finished strong, felt good afterwards, felt a little ill as the day went on (lactic acid buildup, maybe?), hydration was spot-on, hours after the race I felt like I was going to be super sore the next day, but in reality I wasn't. I felt really good! I saw an improvement in my times, by 5and a half minutes on the bike, and about 30 seconds on the run. If I can do that when I'm not completely ready for the race, I'm excited to see what else I've got in me for the rest of the season, after I get the training volume up to par. :) LOOK OUT, HERE SHE COMES!!!

  • Comments: I had a good time at this race. I definitely will do it again next year. :) Only I will actually train and get ready for it first! ;) I loved the chocolate at the finish line, and the finisher's necklace. It's a silver heart that says "love to tri" on it. Every time I look at it I think "why, yes, I do!"

  • Comments: Stamina was good. Power in the legs not so much on the hills for both bike and run. This will come later as most of training has been on the flats. My goals were aggressive. A practice run on the bike followed by a nice 7-10 min break before a run is not the same as a transition in a race. I did much better than my last race and that is the most important. I was EOP (22/23 in AG) for my first race. MOP for this one (12/21). So things are looking good. Be great to see how year continues to progress. Might pick up the other piece of equipment for my bodylink so I can analyze HR over the course of an entire race/workout instead of just lap averages. Great finishes by the other BT'rs. drewwhite and runningfoo both finished 1st in their respective AGs and 13th and 14th overall (this was Drew's first race)! Another friend and BTer also finished first in his AG and UtTriMan finished 4th in his, just a few seconds out of placing. (UtTriMan was my 'nemesis' for this one and he got me by

  • Comments: Was a great race. Was great to run with the fellow BT'ers! Made the event that much more fun! I was extremely pleased with my performance. I guess all the training I've done over the winter has paid off. Now I know where I can do better. Even more exciting, I beat my goal time of 1:25 by nearly 11 minutes I'll definately do this race again

  • Comments: I did it! Did my first triathlon, and won my age group in the process, fancy that!?! I really liked the race. I think part of that could be attributed to meeting a bunch of studs from BT, but I really like how everything was run. I look forward to doing it again next year!
