  • Comments: Although I have no other Tri's to compare this to, I have been in several other races and this was wonderful. It was well organized and the director/volunteers were helpful and nice. I loved it!

  • Comments: Race started late, 1 sign during the bike segment was pulled so many bikers were lost.

  • Comments: Not having enough volunteers and letting bikers get lost on the bike (there was a lot of them) is really crappy. It was frustrating considering my time would have been an improvement on last year, but now I will never know. Worked too hard for stuff like that. Run was a one mile loop with a single aid station. Sufficient, but a little bit nicer course could have been laid out I think.

  • Comments: I avoided doing this race as much as I could because I knew this race director's reputation but unfortunately this was the only one that really fit into my schedule. I understand that it is my responsibility as a racer to know the course but I had to drive up the morning of the race and couldn't drive the course prior to the race. It would have been difficult to memorize every turn from the map. I think the numbers speak for themselves 53 out of 83 racers thrown into the non-standard bike course category. I am sure some of those in the 30 that were official did not do the official course. The race director obviously does not have a whole lot of respect for the efforts athletes go through to prepare themselves for these events. I could go on but I think my opinion is clear.

  • Comments: Typical Frank Dobbs race. I should know better than to even bother by now. He offered a free race to the Oly participants due to the confusion-turns out that 53 people rode a "non-standard bike course" and 31 were counted as having done the "official" bike course. I don't know how they determined who did what, nobody asked me what I did. Anyway, if my schedule allows it I'll take him up on the free race and use it as a training day.

  • Comments: as far as I am concerned, I would love to organize a boycott of Lake Geneva Extreme Sports. For the Oly results, apparently only 2 women counted as having finished the course. At least 30 started it. Several guys counted as finishing, not sure how many, but probably 50 or 60 guys started, so it makes sense that a few more of them would finish 'properly.' But who knows who finished properly because there weren't volunteers to note when you went off the course. BOYCOTT THE LAKE GENEVA EXTREME SPORTS RACE SERIES!!! AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK. (Yes, I know, it's my reponsiblity to know the race course, but when >75% of the racers get lost, in several different ways, the race director did something wrong) The race director has admitted this in offering all Oly participants a free spot in any of their other races this season. But, why would I want another experience like this one, even if I wasn't going out of the country. Now begins the campaign to get my entry fee back!!!
