  • Comments: Despite the swim and fall I was happy with this race. I placed 4th in my age group - which I'm sure had more to do with a slow age group than my speed - still it got me a cool plaque and some bragging rights. I like this race, and I was happy with the results I got on Saturday.

  • Comments: This is a nicely run race, well organized. It's the 2nd year for the sprint. I plan on doing this again next year, if only to beat my swim time from this year... The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't know very many people (and the people I did know where pretty much gone by the time I finished). None of my friends that said they were going to come made it. See! Told you I'm needy! Oh, and for those interested, I did fly the Donkai.

  • Comments: This was a very well run race, and I would definately do it again next year. I would just really have to practice swimming in waves for next year. One other note...even though I b*tch and moan about my side pain, I'm not going to let it stop me. I am frustrated, but that's just becasue I want to be able to run faster like I did growing up. Good thing is, they (the doctors) have finally figured out that I have a bum Iliapsoas muscle on the right side that is causing all the pain. (From Webmd.com: The iliopsoas bursa is the largest in the body and lies in front of, and deep to, the hip joint. Bursitis here is usually associated with hip problems such as arthritis or injury (especially from running). Someone at work once asked me, "Amy, if you get this side pain, why do you keep doing these races? Why don't you stop running?" I laughed and said, "You must not know me!!" While I may take time off, I'll never stop. When I pulled up to the race site this morning, I was sitting

  • Comments: I will definitely be doing this one again next year if they have a Sprint again, just so I can get to do the swim again and attempt to beat this years time. :)
