Comments: Well-run event (although you have to pay to get into the park ($5) even just to pick up your race packet --greedy park operators! (Just kidding)

Comments: good course; given my inability to keep my face in the water or breath during the swim, i think 500m was too long for me yet. volunteers were great; interesting mix of people competing. this was my first race with men and women; the women were competetive but helpful and friendly; the men were much more serious, uptight and viewing this a a big deal race. really intresting differences. enjoyed this overall-- would do it again.

Overall course based on my ability: Just right

Comments: Chalk this one up... lessons learned.. not a way to go out for the summer. But, I've got to be happy in weight loss, the speed on the bike and run I picked up, the Chicago Tri ... it was a very pleasant surprise. I was humble at Prairie View. Maybe I needed this... I definitely feel vulnerable again... Maybe this is God's way of keeping me in check.
