  • Comments: This race was very well done, especially since it was their 2nd annual. The only thing it was lacking was a party afterwards and I'm sure next year it will be even better. Everyone there was very friendly and willing to help. Also, everyone who was participating from the Wauconda area that I talked to before the race had friendly advice and encouragement. There were a lot of 1st and 2nd timers and I'd describe the atmosphere as high in competitive camaraderie. Great race!

  • Comments: I had a great time! And I'm overall very satisfied with my race, although I would have loved to be top three in my age group. But my goal before the race was top third, and I did that. And I finished in the top half overall, which I'm also happy with. I'll probably be back next year.

  • Comments: Of the two races I've been in, this one ranks #1. Very well organized, decent goody bag; race volunteers really helpful and encouraging. Very well run race. Will make this one an annual event.

  • Comments: Great race for me. I am learning more and more at each race I do. It was nice to get the Donkai shorts up on the podium again. With all the Donkeys in the area, we should start a podium shrine of Donkeyness?? 2006 time: 1:22:05 2007 time: 1:16:20 Almost 6 minutes shaved off on a sprint is good progress, methinks. The people of Wauconda put on a great race. The venue is perfect. Nice to get a hilly race in this area. Many volunteers and they are all great. The transition area opened up late, but everything can't run smoothly. Great race for this area if you are considering one.
