  • Comments: I think having everyone park farther away made it much safer, so that is overall a good thing. Running out of swim caps really was not good though - if they'd have posted a note on the website, or updated facebook or email, that would have been much better. Beach at East Fork is disgusting - cigarette butts, condoms and plastic bottle caps. Had a cop try to wave traffic into me. Post race food sucked as usual.

  • Comments: Trixie came down and did this one with me...she did Oly duathlon and I dropped down to the sprint tri. Hadnt done a sprint in a long long time and i really enjoyed it. Hilly course barely made it to finish line to get to the porta potty :-)

  • Comments: I had more friends show up at this race than ever before. It was great seeing everyone and cheering for each other. Met some "new" friends as well. Mary and I used to do several of these every year, and I can see why I miss it. Still, I wonder if the IM training is what it takes to raise me to this level, or if I could train JUST for short races and still do as good. I think next year I'll find out. I'm hoping to have more training time, as I retire in 30 days. We'll see what 2011 brings.

  • Comments: I liked the race. It was only my second Tri overall, my first Olympic. I liked the HFP Racing set-up and will probably race the whole series in 2011. I was really using the race as a training day for the Rev 3 half, but feel that the Olympic distance is one that I will continue to race. In fact I might just do Vermillion in two weeks.
