  SWIM: Triathletes will begin with a 1/2 mile swim along the beach front of Alum Creek State Park. Wet suits are permitted unless the water is too warm as determined by USA Triathlon. Water temperature is typically in the low 80's/high 70's. Swim caps will be provided. Expect about 6-8 separate "wave" starts grouped according to age group. Swim "wave" information will be included in the race confirmation packet and on race day.
  
  BIKE: 17.69 miles (bike course pending due to road construction) - Triathletes and duathletes will merge together inside the "transition" area to begin a scenic 17.69 mile bike race . Bike helmets are ALWAYS MANDATORY and drafting rules enforced. No headsets please. Roads are well paved with a few gently rolling hills.
  
  RUN: 5K - Athletes will cycle back to the transition area to begin a 3.1 mile run. The race finishes along the beautiful beach front of Alum Creek State Park.
