Any suggestions on how long to rest before resuming training after a sprint distance race (my race was on Saturday)? I only had 6 weeks to prepare for this tri, so I pushed myself pretty hard while I was training. After my first figure competition, my trainer had me take a week off just to rest and recoup, but don't know if that's needed here.
There is no set rule on how long to recover after a race because everyone is different and will be dependent on a number of factors.
“When is your next race and was this the last race of the season?”
If this was your last race of the season or your next race is a long ways away, you can be a little more gradual with working back into training. [.....]
