I will assume you have not run consistently more than 6 miles and have never completed a half-marathon.
I believe running your first half-marathon is a big task which requires dedication and lots of work. For this reason, I do not encourage anybody to prepare their first half-marathon at the same time they are preparing for a triathlon. However, since this is a triathlon website, I have added workouts that will benefit both runners and triathletes alike. Still, I will not specifically add details about the swim and bike components, because their intensity, number and length will change based on the length of the triathlon for which you are preparing and how far apart it will be from your half-marathon race.
