Quick – without thinking: “What’s the most challenging area of triathlon?” Maybe you answered with something similar to one these:

  • “I can’t swim. Swimming’s the most challenging part of triathlon races for me.”

  • “I have this old, hunk-of-junk bike. I’m slow as molasses. Having to race with that hunk of steel is the most challenge part of races to me.”

  • “I hate running. And I’m slow at it. When I get to the run leg in races it’s already mid-afternoon. It’s hot by then!”

  • “I’m bored with training. I’m good for about a month, and then start skimping on my workouts. [.....]
