Nice little event- low key.  Swag was nice.  About 5 mins between events- last year there was 15 or so between the swim and the bike due to  trainer issues.

Last year the RD took FOREVER to wrap up the event and get times/medals out.  Post race food sucked (apples, bananas and nutragrain bars)....so plan on leaving and coming back for awards, esp if you are younger (thus your AG goes first).

What else can I say??  OH YEAH IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TRI!  Come and race and help me celebrate turning 30 (according to USAT!)  Hoggy's is right down the road from OWU- BBQ and beers!

I am bringing my own bike too. Im just going to wear my normal gym attire. Swim in some trunks and a compression shirt. Run in some sweats and a T.

If you guys want to say hello, Ill be one of the younger, bigger guys wearing a black wicking shirt and a grey pair of sweatpants.

I will be signing up to use my own bike- but I'm a bike seat snob and I like what I have.

Unfortunatly now I don't know if I will be racing   I have been summoned to Hell the Home Office the first week of March.  If we are flying out on friday before noon I am pretty sure I will make it out of DFW.  If we are flying out any time after noon..well...there is a strong chance I will not make it home until very late if on Friday at all.  As soon as Dallas gives me the flight info I will sign up.

I will still be there either way to cheer on my BT peeps! I will make a huge BT sign so we can all find eachother!

You don't need to swim in a compression shirt- it will just weigh you down.  You have plenty of time to get changed in between.  Running in sweats might get hot too- it's an indoor track- 8 laps= 1 mile.

I usually just swim in a compression shirt. Just what I do I guess! Ill probably throw some shorts in my bag also, along with the 3000 other things I am most likely not going to need!

I will look for your sign. Ill stop and say hello to everyone!

I was wondering too, how to they count laps? Is it one length of the 25 yard pool or 2 or 3 or whatever, just curious.

You get a lane to yourself. A volunteer will count laps for you. You just keep swiming until the 15mins are up. Which sucked for me because several of us swam twice the distance of everyone else. It would be nice to just swim the 400 and be done.

First event ever, not planning to do too well, just hoping to finish.  See everyone there, including my neighbor who I am sure is going to make me look REALLY slow (you know who you are).
