Swim
Comments: Good swim. My target was 600 meters, and I hit the target. I had calfcramping on the first 200 meters, but worked through it to finish strong What would you do differently?: More swimming in the pool Transition 1
Comments: Showered, ate a banana, hit a power gel, and walked to the spinning class bikes What would you do differently?: Hit the power gel before the race Bike
Comments: Head down, Ipod blasting, eyes closed, and just smoked all out on the bike. What would you do differently?: Not push so hard on the bike Transition 2
Comments: Hit the bike to hard Run
Comments: I died on the run. Started out the first five minutes at 7mph which was my starting target, and had to talk my way to finishing the run. Was out of breath, running bad, and totally out of synch with what I should have been able to do. What would you do differently?: Train for the run more, and not hit the bike so hard. Post race
Warm down: walk around the gym for 20 minutes What limited your ability to perform faster: Ran our of air on the run Event comments: I did much better on this race than my first. I now have more motivation to take this outdoors this summer. Last updated: 2008-04-13 12:00 AM
