Comments: Before the start of the race I saw a "race rabbit" with 1:45 on his ears. I figured I would stay with him to meet my goal. What I didn't know is he was using a race 10 walk 1 system. Therefore, he was running a 7:30 pace. I stayed with him until about mile 9 and then I decided to stick to a steady 8:00 pace. I fell off my pace a bit at the end and had to sprint to the finish to get my 1:45. What would you do differently?: I am not sure I would have used the "race rabbit" but in hindsight I guess it did give me some speed work. Post race

I ate a small breakfast (2 slices of toast w/ peanut butter and a small glass of OJ).
I got to the start about one hour before the start of the race. I walked, stretched, ran to while listening to my iPod to warm-up.
