Pre-race routine:

registered and walked ella around park for about 15 minutes

Event warmup:

some light jogging and switched shoes (Xc spikes) did strides and stretching 5 min prior to race

Comments:

i ran well - i dion't have speed for 5ks right now. But i felt good on uphills. faded last mile and lost my age group title at 2.5M

What would you do differently?:

more speed work/hill repeats

Post race

Warm down:

not much, some jogging with ella around the park and stretching. was really cold hands/feet

What limited your ability to perform faster:

cold weather was 70F mon/tue/wed then got chilly and now cold and windy

Event comments:

not a mega race - for being USATF Association state championships, it isn't well attended. even the junior olympic races were small fields
