A nostalgic, sentimental moment

The May edition of Inside Triathlon has an article on the Portobelo (Panama) International Triathlon. The writer recommended swims in the Albrook 50 meter pool. I learned to swim in this pool! I got so excited reading about the tri, I've added this tri to my goals. The Canal Zone exists no more, so to see this place that brought back many happy memories was meaningful to me. Anyway, here's a picture of the pool I learned to swim in and competed in over 35 years ago (in the midst of the rain forest, the writer says).
