Swim
Comments: I had a very good swim today! Sighted well about 85% of the time. I'd get over confident, start sighting every 10th stroke or so and wind up off course. I do that often. Gotta learn soon! For the most part, I was right on the bouys and felt great. Focused on keeping good form - really stretching out my arms, pivoting and such. It worked! Got thumped a bunch of times by the 2.4 guys lapping me but nothing terrible. Wetsuit didn't rub or anything - my thoughts during the swim were positive and focused. Now if I can just do this in IMFL I"d be happy. What would you do differently?: Continue sighting every 5-7 stroke for the WHOLE race. Post race
Warm down: Hosed off and ate 4 grapes. Food was lacking. What limited your ability to perform faster: nada! Event comments: There were zero porta pottys and the 1 bathroom they had at the park was quickly inoperable. Hardly any food at the finish for almost 500 racers and little dixie cups of water. I heard that almost 200 folks signed up yesterday and today so maybe it was too late to do anything about the packed house. Last updated: 2009-06-05 12:00 AM

Drove down w/ Em, Katie and Mike - got there around 8:20 so I was happy that the race was a bit late. No time to stop for coffee!
waded around in the water and chatted.
