Did Simple Green fry my Cateye cadence sensor??

Hey everyone.  New here.  Been reading the boards and using the training log thing for a little while.  Lots of good info.  Don't really know what I'm doing so I can't contribute too much....

At any rate, I cleaned my bike thoroughly yesterday w/Simple Green after someone yelled at me for it being so dirty.  The cadence function on my Cateye is not working now.  No cut cables, etc.  I figured it is waterproof but not sure if something in the cleaner ruined it.  Anyone ever hear of this happening?  Any other thoughts?  The magnet is still lined up with the sensor.
