Argon 18 Mercury VS. E-80

I am looking into Argon 18 bikes and it seems as though last years "Mercury" model came in an XL frameset whereas its replacement, the "E-80", only goes up to Large. Does anyone know anything about the comparison between these two bikes? Is the Mercury XL actually a larger bike or has the company simply changed their definition of the sizing categories?
