Subject: pain above ankle Hi everybody, Saturday I rode my bike in bad winds and worked my butt off. Sunday, when I got out of bed, I noticed I had pain on the outside of my lower leg, just a few inches above the ankle. The pain is on a tendon I think, and is very sore to the touch, and also hurts when I flex and point my foot. I think it came from unclipping. I had to unclip a lot on Saturday as there was a lot of traffic in my area, and it seemed like at every stop sign and yield I unclipped. I usually only unclip this foot. I may need to reduce the tension on the pedal as I do have a hard time unclipping. Also my foot is very long and narrow, and my shoes are on the wide side, so when I twist around to unclip there is a lot of movement inside my shoe. So what kind of injury is this? I am supposed to run today, but not sure if I should. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks a bunch, jami |
