Note:  You do not need to be doing an Ironman or even be a triathlete to attend.  This is open to anyone and everyone.

Pot-luck & Ironman Q & A! A special documentary film from 2007 Ironman! Join us for an evening of food, fun and information!

If you’re an Ironman veteran or an Ironman-to-be, this is a prime event for you. Not an Ironman, or somebody who has the desire to be an Ironman?? No worries! Everybody is welcome to attend any or all of the evening. Whether you are a veteran sprint or Olympic distance triathlete, a beginner triathlete or a runner simply wondering why the heck somebody would want to swim and bike on top of running, please join us for some food, an Ironman Q&A forum, and a viewing of a documentary film for some camaraderie, personal motivation and laughter.

SBR will be hosting this CCMC event on Sunday, August 23rd. The festivities start at 5:30pm with a "bring-a-dish-to-pass" dinner. Around 6pm we will begin an open question and answer session about Ironman Wisconsin. Ryan Griessmeyer (of Race Day Events, USAT Triathlon coach and multiple Ironman finisher) and Jessica Laufenberg (of SBR, USAT Triathlon coach and multiple Ironman finisher) will be available to answer questions you may have about completing Ironman, whether your questions are about an upcoming race, or are just questions you have because you think you may be interested in participating in an Ironman someday. The forum will not answer specific questions about training and nutrition, however they will offer insights into and thoughts about the miscellaneous events that occur Ironman week and throughout the race day itself.

After the Q&A session, about 7pm, we will view a documentary about nine individuals who trained for Ironman Wisconsin in 2007.  The documentary is motivating, emotional and inspirational for anyone who trains and races. The documentary was created by Steve Donovan, who captured the journey all nine of us took. The movie will last about an hour.

If you are planning to attend the pot-luck, or any part of the evening, please RSVP to Jessica at [email protected].

Please bring a dish to pass (per below) and a chair. Beverages will be provided.  Also, bring family and friends! The more the merrier!
