Subject: Koobi tri saddles - women'sJust wondering if any ladies out there are using or have tried the Koobi Women's PRS Alpha tri saddle? It's the one that has a "tunable suspension" to absorb road shock. Sounds like an interesting concept...but I'm curious if it actually works or not. I'm currently having some saddle issues (I'm using a Terry Butterfly Tri Gel ), so I'm trying to gather a list of "possible" saddles that I might be interested in trying out. FWIW...I've already tried the Cobb V-Flow Plus and it did not work for me. Not sure if it was due to the narrowness of it (130mm ) or what, but my sit bones protested loudly (numbness and pain ) for the 300 painful miles that I put on it. Incidentally, I happened to stop into a Trek store this afternoon...and while I was there, I sat on one of their "butt-o-meter" thing-a-ma-bobs. Based on the impression of my sit bones, I measured in the "green" area, which equates to 150mm. For maximum comfort, should I be looking at saddles that are 150mm or above in width? Or should I be going for something a bit narrower, like say...146-148mm? Oh...here is a pic and info on the Koobi that I'm interested in --http://www.trisports.com/kowoprssatia.html Edited by nscrbug 2009-09-21 8:29 PM
