Comments: Was playing it by ear because My knee had been troubling me for abt 3 weeks and wasn't sure I'd finish. Committed to not injurying myself or sacrificing my marathon, so at front agreed I would stop if pain. What would you do differently?: might run with a little mroe rain gear--didn't and was cold, wet, and miserable--but didn't want to be too warm. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: IT band injury/knee pain Event comments: Very happy, achieved a significantly faster time despite injury. No aggravation to my knee. Want to get below 2hrs, and felt I could have done it but was holding back. Oh- well something to shoot for next time. Last updated: 2009-08-19 12:00 AM

Silly me. Despite many reminders forgot to set my clock back 1 hr. Up very early. Bonus was good breakfast-oatmeal and 16oz of Cytomax abt 1.5hrs pre-race. Plenty of time to stretch.
