Comments: Started out trying to push the pace a little, not let myself get comfortable. Mental game of passing one person at a time. 8:35 for the first mile, so I knew I was doing well if I could keep it up. Didn't pass anyone really except walkers after the turn around. Had to keep focussing on keeping the pace up. Keep my eyes on the finish. Finished with a pretty good kick. No aches or pains, but was getting pretty tired. What would you do differently?: I wouldn't do anything differently. Post race
Warm down: Walking around, getting a little water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training. Event comments: No water for the 3 mile run. There was water for the 10 miler. Water and snacks (oranges, bananas, grapes, pbj sandwiches, cookies and chips) at the finish. Really fast field this year. Thought I might I have a shot at 5th for age group, but not after I heard the first two times for age group. Last updated: 2009-11-18 12:00 AM
